Chips: 19,371 | | | Question about the Oragnge and Grey FC chips I am going to be getting a 1k FC chip set for my tourney set and I am decding on colors. I love the orange color and I have read enough threads to know it is hard to find (along with the grey). The only place I have found some is at straightflush.com but they want $.15 per chip . Shipping is a flat $29.95.
My question is: Are the Orange really worth over 3 times the cost? Having never seen them in person I am reaching out to the FC'rs for opinons. Seems a tad steep to me but I figured I'd ask.
Thanks for the info

In all the photo's here, they look bright and vivid, but thats only because of the lighting in the pictures or flash of the camera. They are a lot more duller in person.
Think burnt orange or wet terracotta.
They are nothing close to an orange Super Diamond. |

If there is one thing we love around here, it is extra chips.

Are they worth it? Several threads have discussed the actual "value" of Faux Clays. To me, yes...to others, no.
If it were me, I would pester PI to get the new fauxs produced. Then you can get any color you want (at least from the 9 availible).
My 2 bits....

Chips: 53 | | | Re: Question about the Oragnge and Grey FC chips I think its a simple supply and demand issue. The orange are hard to get because there aren't that many around. If you really want some, you must pay extra for them. If I were in business, I'd charge as much as I could for them because I believe I could get more for the ones that are difficult to find elsewhere. |

If you have to have them now, you have to pay. If you can wait a tick, you'll see the supply increase and exceed demand.

They are nothing close to an orange Super Diamond. | It is a matter of personal preference obviously, but for me, the "burnt orange" color is exactly why I ordered the orange. I preferred the color over the bright orange of the Super Diamonds. |

Orange and Grey chips are in VERY short supply. If anything, waiting will get you either a higher price or no chips at all when they are all gone. There are many people here who are kicking themselves because they did not buy any yellows and now they are nowhere to be found. |
