Palm Imports Chinese Clones

They arrived today, and they are indeed clones, not just labeled BC's.

My "review" will be scattered, so bear with me.

The mold is a BC Flame mold knock-off.
The flames arent as tall, and the clone mold is slighly more elongated or squashed. (the real BC flame is the chip lying on top, not underneath)

There are also ejection marks on one side of most of the samples (in the inserts mostly), along with a slight bubbling effect (tiny bubbles, very slight) on the ejection side. (the green chip with peeling label is an actual BC, note rolling edge ridges)

I dont really want to comment on the weight. They feel good, and a stack is fun to play with, but I cant be sure w/o a scale.

Funny thing is, he did actually send me a labeled BC in the bunch. Wonder if he was trying to test me.
Its the only 312 (the green $25)
The rolling edges of the clones are much smoother than the one BC. (3rd chip from bottom)

Here's comparison chips Joe sent.
BC vs Clone: (clone on top)

Paulson Trademark vs Clone (clone on top)

Overall Id say he's off to a great start. Sure there are some kinks to be worked out, but not too bad for a first run. (although the psuedo-flame mold is, well...... )

I am just awestruck with the image quality of these pictures- perhaps you can share your photographic techniques-- totally stunning pics.

These things don't look too bad, but it sounds like the weight leaves something to be desired?

Interesting. That wasn't my take on what Boon wrote. Didn't he say that they felt good, but he didn't have a scale to be sure of the weight. Didn't sound negative to me.

Maybe I missed something between the lines.

Well the weight is always a determining factor, and Joe states these are 10g, but w/o a scale.....I can only guess.

Im sending samples to JM and Capt Lego for thier own analysis (weight, etc)

Re: Palm Imports Chinese Clones

Hmm, well 2 things are pretty obvious here. First that the company who made these chips just took a bc flame mold chip and made their own mold from it. Second obvious thing is that whoever made this obviously doesn't respect the intellectual property of others making a mold of a BC chip and not even bothering to remove the BC flame from it!

We didnt have a scale either to weight these chips-- I'm going on factory specs- Hard to tell I agree without a scale.
Let me know what they finally weigh in at- so we know

Not true !!!!!

If this was a bluechip copy the inlays would not be centered.
