Completely dry... overnight even. The blue ink on the yellow chip does look wet, but that's just the flash.
I would think you might have trouble with very small text, but not larger stuff. I bought another stamp to try out. It was a.... ummm... what do you call the compass thingie on a map? The NSEW pointer thingy? Anyways, it has the NSEW letters and they showed-up very well, but the stamp overall was just a tad too large so I don't have any pics of those.
But, if you are thinking that these will show incredibly fine detail like a printed label, then you will be sorely disappointed. But, if you want a very inexpensive and fast way to add a little security and uniqueness to your chips, I think it will work very well.
Yes, this is the same ink as the other thread... Staz-On... and it is VERY permenant. You will NOT be getting this stuff off the chip. Well, maybe with paint thinner or something, but certainly not with normal chip usage.
Give it a try... you can buy a pad of the ink for $8 to $11, the opaque's being $11, and a test stamp for about $5 or less. And heck the chips themselves are only $0.045 each. For $20 you can try a set of 20 chips and see how you like it.
I think I am going to buy a stack of 20 chips and test out some edge spotting using the StazOn ink and a modeling paintbrush.
