"They're great chips for the price"

We here this a lot around here, especially when referring to super diamonds, faux clays and sometimes the Soprano six stripe chips. Since the statement doesn't really give you an indication of how "good" a very reasonably priced poker chip is. With that in mind. I'm curious to know how much people would be willing to pay for those chips that are deemed "great chips for the price".

I have some Super diamonds (paid under 5 cents a piece for them) and I would be willing to pay .07 cents a chip for these (maybe 8 cents) How about you?

Re: "They're great chips for the prce"

When I purchased my faux clays I got them from a Canadian vendor to avoid the outragous fees associted with UPS. I ended up paying around 12¢ per chip (Canadian) and I have been extremely happy with the purchase.

All I can say is buy some cheap chips and join the FCN (Faux Clay Nation).

Now if that is not a glowing recommendation, I don't know what is.

Re: "They're great chips for the prce"

I love my faux clays, but I guess not as much as jojo does. I'd have paid up to 0.15.

As I paid 0.06 each for my 1k faux clays, that's a whopping $90 profit!

Considering that 5stardeal is currently selling the 10g Sopranos for $0.09 each, I'd say that caps the faux clays at $0.06 to $0.07.

Re: "They're great chips for the prce"

I was actually just in the mood to find some post where I could rave about the faux clays, and this happened to be the first post on my New Posts page!

I love mine, I don't think I could part with them. Even with my custom ASMs on the way (damn, are they here yet?). Like Brewster, I bought mine from a Canadian supplier. And probably had some part in convincing said supplier to actually supply said chips

I should take some pictures of them the next time we're playing poker. I have a set of them for cash games, although they've been used for tournaments this month as well since I sold my plain ASMs that I was using for tournaments, and my customs aren't here yet... orange 5c, grey 25c, blue $1, and red $5. Although, the guys I play with decided to add a 10c denom one night while I wasn't playing and made that the blud chip, making the red a dollar. I didn't bitc* too much, since they won't have a choice when I get my new chips, heheh.

Either way, when you have stacks of them in front of you, it doesn't seem to matter quite so much. Left with $20 in a $5 buyin 5c/10c cash game we had last night. Good times.

I think I lost track of some point somewhere in this post...

Now THAT's an endoresment!!!

The only reason I haven't bought the faux clays is the inability to have them hot stamped.

I had the Soprano for a short time and really liked them, but this is also another chip that can't be hot stamped...I refuse to do labels ever again (too much of a headache).
