Chips: 2,106 | | | Hot Stamped Faux Clays All the places I've looked I've only found one place that does hotstamping for faux clays: www.wedoitallvegas.com
However, they charge double for faux clays than anybody else which pretty much defeats the purpose.
Does anyone here know of anywhere else I can get this done and NOT pay .10/chip for faux clays? |

Chips: 3,049 | | | Re: Hot Stamped Faux Clays These 10 Gram Dice Casino Composite are the latest edition to our Chip Collection. These chips come in a staggering 9 colors, giving you greater flexibility with the possibility of color coordination with the rest of your organization.
Please note that these chips are unable to be custom stamped.
This from the site. Have not yet seen anyone who can stamp faux clays. |

Chips: 2,131 | | | Re: Hot Stamped Faux Clays I think there is some issue with the material of faux clays that does not lend itself to hotstamping. 5StarDeal also does not hotstamp these either.
BTW, I think this proves (albeit in an indirect manner) that faux clays are not made of the same material as super diamonds or other similar-looking chips, since all of the other cheap plastic solid chips will take a hotstamp, AFAIK. |

Chips: 2,190 | | | Re: Hot Stamped Faux Clays Yeah I'm pretty sure they can't be hotstamped because of the material they're made of. I looked around for a long time a while ago for hotstamping these, but made no progress. If someone could do it, I would cry tears of joy for weeks, but alas that hasn't happened yet. I still hope, though..........

Chips: 102 | | | Re: Hot Stamped Faux Clays I've never handled the Faux Clay. How different are they from the Super Diamond (cheapest quality chip available)? The Super Diamond chips are fine when hotstamped and offer more color selection. What's the big difference? |

Chips: 507 | | | Re: Hot Stamped Faux Clays The faux clays have a slightly rougher texture and a deeper sound to them. The edges are a bit more rounded than the super diamonds too. They sound and feel less plasitcy (if that is a word).

Online you can buy custom-made rubber stamps for pretty cheap. If you seek numbers & letters only (no graphic) and if you're not picky about the layout (i.e. no text curving on top/bottom), you can buy a custom rubber stamp for about $5. I imagine you could get just about anything you want with a graphic and/or curved text in 4-5 denominations for under $100.
You can get metalic inks for rubber stamps at most arts & crafts stores (Michael's or JoAnn's Fabrics, here in CA). If you allow the ink ample time to dry, or perhaps try stamping with a thermal set ink, it just might work...

The edges on the Super Diamond never seem to round at all and I'm not crazy about their sound. Even without hotstamping the Faux's seem like the way to go. For cash I could get by without values on the chips using standard colors. |
