Help!! I want Paulson knockoffs

Hey guys I am new to this site but you have convinced me I need better chips. I purchased a great set of pharaohs from guys on this site. I am keeping them just for my home games.

I would like to get a cheap set of nice looking / feeling Paulson knockoffs for cash games at a golf club. These guys would ruin my good stuff spilling booze and other stuff. I am looking for cash chips that have similiar moldings to Paulson Top Hat etc..

Can anyone steer me in right direction?

Re: Help!! I want Paulson knockoffs

I'm not sure that there are any Paulson knock-offs. But if you want an inexpensive set that the buddies can spill on try the Faux Clays.

Re: Help!! I want Paulson knockoffs

Now there's something you don't see every day --- "cheap" and "Paulson" in the same sentence...

I'd suggest forgetting Paulson knockoffs. I don't know if there are any (there are some chips with a TH and no cane, IIRC, and maybe some cheap composites that have a TH&C printed on them??). But what's the point? If anybody who uses them knows enough to appreciate a TH&C on the chip, that same person will detect that the chips are knockoffs and be disappointed.

You'll probably have more luck -- and end up with better chips -- if you post the price range you're looking for, and the members here can recommend the best chips for your $.

I was trying to think of how to respond to that myself. Seems that you have nailed it pretty well. No such thing as a cheap Paulson knockoff as we would all be buying them.

Re: Help!! I want Paulson knockoffs

I personaly like the Blue Chip manufacterers chips.
If they had a hat and cane mold on them I doubt there would be too many people that would be able to tell the difference.
The quality of those chips is awesome, especialy the vineyard commemoratives.

Speaking of the Blue Chip Company -- anyone know how to get a hold of them -- I can find no website, nor via Google. Once I found a reference on some poker website but I lost it.

I'm interested in getting some blanks from them -- do they sell to regular folks like us? Thanks for any help.

Re: Help!! I want Paulson knockoffs

Everyone loves "Vegas Vic", so why not go with these Blue Chip clays... You can get them online for as low as 55 cents (with discount)!

Re: Help!! I want Paulson knockoffs

I would check with holdempokerchips and ask them about blank samples but there might be a problem with that because they do still manufacter chips for the casinos.
You know that whole fraud thing.

I just called them and I am having some samples sent to me for a group buy I am thinking about doing.
I will let you know when they get here if they are blank, I doubt they will be.
