Snipered again

Is there anything more aggrevating than being about to win an auction for a cheap price with 6 seconds left with a big overbid and get snipered when it's too late to do rebid. Whenever I try it, it never works, but it always works against me. D'OH

Re: Snipered again

it happeneds, you just gotta bet as late as possible, and bet 1-3bucks higher the the next bid to prevent someone snipeing you.

Re: Snipered again

Join the party and try sniping using eSnipe.com. I have been using eSnipe for several years and they have won me many auctions.

I use auctionsniper.com and I have saved myself a lot of money and it also keeps me from bidding TOO MUCH!

Re: Snipered again

yup, the e-snipers definately have the advantage over the old fashioned click-it-to-win-it buyers!

I also use Esnipe. The key is using esnipe or something similar and putting in the absolute highest price you're willing to pay. If you don't win, it will have sold for higher than you are willing to pay anyway.

Bidding w/o sniping just drives the prices up.

Ebay should have sniping built in to save us the hassle.

Agreed. Decide on your max and not a penny less, and you won't be dissappointed. I also agree that sniping can help keep the final price down, because there's no bidding wars. The reason eBay does not want sniping built-in, is that they WANT bidding wars...more $ for them.

Re: Snipered again

The way I look at it is I set a price that I am willing to pay and I bid for it at the price. If I get it for less or the price that I set as a limit then good for me. If I get in a bidding war and pay $20.00 or it could go even higher.
Yes it is easy to say but they only got it for $ 2.00 more. This is not allways the case. There max. bid might be $ 50.00 higher than mine. Meaning I pay $ 55.00 more than I was will. If I wait and look around I can ussally get what I want for the price I want.
