Chips: 708 | | | PNY's getting the job done! Just wanted to let everyone know I put my new PNY's in play for the first time last night in my post-tournament 1/2 NL ring game, and they brought me some great cards and luck!
Good News: Ended up +$440 for the night
Bad News: Noone else really noticed / appreciated the chips!
Oh well, I'd rather it go that way then the other way around (everyone loves the chips and end up down for the night) |

And yeah, I was definitely the big winner of the evening. One guy went home somewhere around -$600 or so, and everyone else basically were all slightly up/down. He was a friend of a friend, and ultra-LAG. He basically played every hand (many for raises) and I basically just caught cards at good times and my hands managed to hold up against him.
At one point he busted out, bought in for $100 (the max buy in), busted out on the very next hand, and then bought in for another $100 and went all in AGAIN the next hand. Noone called him the second time, but it was just plain crazy.
I guess he is an orthopedic surgeon and definitely can spare some cash, so I didn't feel bad when I made sure to get his email address to invite him back next month! |

Especially when you are talking that kind of money coming through your front door. |

I'm normally pretty wary of that kind of situation, but this was an instance where the guy is well known by a good friend of mine, so I wasn't too concerned. It was cleared with me beforehand... plus this is a guy who lives in a $5-$7 million house and probably brings in a salary in the high 6 figures, so I'm not sure he would put that all on the line for the $1500 I had in my pocket. I have also heard from my friend that his weekly golf foursome routinely bets $300-500 a hole, so clearly he just loves action.... Must be nice
Like I said, I will happily invite him back any time without any guilt! |

I'd like to pick up 25 for my set, but my limit it $10 each - I may never get another one. I picke up a sample set with a $1K chip for twenty some-odd dollars about six months ago.
BTW, last Sat we had a 21 man tourny with the PNYs, and I managed third. Everybody seemed to like the chips.
