I found this guy selling what appear to be some nice vintage poker chips, and an interesting case with them as well....I have seen these chips on ebay before I believe, with several different designs on them....Anyways, I have not gotten a chance to get over and look at them yet, but from the pics they appear to be in nice condition.....Based on the pics, can anyone tell me anything about these chips and/or their value?....Pictures below....thanks in advance-

Those are USPCC chips I believe. It's hard to tell the condition of the set when you only the see the top of eight chips though :/

Yes, I understand that there isnt much to go on based on my simple pictures... But, I am trying to get some information on these, so i can be a little educated when I go over to buy them and/or make an offer....This guy apparently wants $100 dollars OBO....So assuming they are in "good" condition, I would like to know an estimated value, if anyone can help me out...thanks-

How many chips are there? Are they all the same type and design (fleur de lis?) Do they vary in condition or are all clean and unstained with no chipping or other damage? Is there anything special about the carousel? Any special markings? Any damage?

This type of chip sells often on ebay so I would suggest searching on 'antique poker chips' and get some ideas on value from there. Perhaps from recently closed auctions. Get the answers to the above questions from the seller as well as some additional photos and then base your offer on that additional information.

Definately made by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC), probably sometime between 1920 and 1940, perhaps the 50's. Individually, these retail for about $2 - $3. In a quantity, they go for less. But the rack complicates pricing. Unknown if it is old or new, valueable, or not, but probably not.

There are three colors there, all very common. If the yellows were there (25 or so of them) then you would have something.

BTW-These are called generic, wheel chips. Clay composition, plain mold, inlaid chips.

If you like them, then a $100 is OK. If you are looking t resell, then you better get them for less!
