A few years ago, I purchased around 400 composite clay chips (the one with suits around the edges, and no metal insert), and kind of liked them for the price. However, they didn't have any edge spots. I recently (last night) spent 2 hours with different colored Sharpies putting edge spots on them, and I wanted to know if anyone has done anything similar, and how it has turned out.
(You gotta love lime green edge spots on a bright white chip)
I used some Sharpies to colour in the white edge spots on my dice chips last year. They looked great until they saw some extended action. Most of the colour was worn off and smudged and made the chips look even worse than before. Not to mention it took over 30 hours to do 300 of the chips. I would not recommend this using permanent markers (the paint pens seem to work a lot better though).

I was sure to apply the marker very heavily, and wiped off excess carefully, have played 1-2 games with them, no problem so far
