They are great looking chips but keep in mind they have a much different feel the Paulsons or TRKings. They are much harder but imo I like them better then home paulsons but not as much as casino grade paulsons. A sample set is the best way to determine if you are going to like them.

Chips: 64 | | | Re: Mardi Gras Clays opinion? I have a set of 500 that I use for cash games. Very nice chips -- I've rotated through several sets (Desert Sands, ASMs, Chipcos) in trying to find ones I really like and these are keepers. The chips are harder and lighter than Paulsons and TR Kings, but other qualities help make up for that (colors, great mold, durability, and no color transfer). I like the colors/edgespots of the low-to-moderate denominations ($0.25 thru $500) better than the very high ones, but just personal preference.
Highly recommended (but, get samples first) |

They are harder than Paulsons, but I liked that as well. |

The colors are awesome, (the greens look good enough to eat, lol) the inlay is simple, and the mold is the best one ever made in my opinion.
I have a "heads up" set of 100 of these the wife and I use to play and travel with and we both love them.
I actually keep flip-flopping between buying a 1000 set of these or getting custom ASM's.
The only thing that keeps swaying me back to ASM's is that I want a custom low-limit cash game set, and prefer a gray 25¢ chip instead of a white one, and I like denominations on the chips.
These are great chips, no doubt about it. |

Chips: 51 | | | Re: Mardi Gras Clays opinion? For reference; I'm a Paulson fan. I think their softer clay feel and weight are perfect, especially when it comes to chip flourishes.
With that said I have a sample Mardi Gras clay chip and I think the inlay design is one of the nicest peices of fantasy chip artwork that I've seen. The colors are also beautiful.
Unfortunately, they feel far too light and unsubstantial to me when it comes to weight.
Hardness-wise I find them too brittle-feeling and plasticy. It seems as if the clay has been sealed with some kind of coating that seals in the feeling of the clay that I enjoy so much with my Paulsons. |

You can see most of the pros and cons above. They are the best quality Blue Chips I've seen. They were created using wild & bright colors like Mardi Gras, and some people hate the color combinations. But if you don't mind the colors they are really nice chips. |

Chips: 606 | | | Re: Mardi Gras Clays opinion? They are some of the best looking chips. Most colours are very nice, and edgespots are fine. The inlay is very cool. They are considerably lighter than Paulson or TR King chips. They are made by Blue Chips which often means problems with off-centre and egg-shaped inlays. My sample is relatively okay as regards inlay quality, though.
