Re: Need 50 cent chip to match up

I have no suggestions for a .50 chip (off the top of my head), but I was looking at these chips as a possible inexpensive tourney set. Can you provide some feedback on these chips? Quality, feel, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Need 50 cent chip to match up

i have a set of 500 of these. i use the 25 as quarters and the 100 as dollars. works out well.

the chips are great inexpensive chips IMO. u can get them for around .11 per chip on ebay. they are pretty light though and can be slippery. if there was someway to put a textured inlay on these then it would be the perfect cheap chip IMO. the sound of these chips are excellent. there are no metal inserts. ive noticed that the 500 and 1000 chip have more rounded/beveled edges. these chips are much more slippery than the other demons that have squarer edges. i have no problems leaving these in stacks of 40 on my padded table surface. when dealing sometimes my elbow hits the stack and they knock over fairly easily. i have bought some new Paulsons for my cash game set now and these will be used striclty for tournaments from now on. i think they are a great cheap tournament set, and i would definately say they are better than any 11.5 metal inserted chip.

Whatever company makes those also makes blanks...you could pick your color and make your own .50 labels.

found them on Ace's site.(and elsewhere)

My plan is to relabel their blue as a 0.25 or 0.50 cash game chip. No need for a 10...

Re: Need 50 cent chip to match up

Not reaaly looking to do the label thing with these. Would like to find something along the line of a Chipco or Blue Chip to use with these. Using the 25 would not work real well. I'll keep searching , maybe a group from one of the closed Washington state palces will show up. They seem to mainly be of the chipco style when one does find them.
