Chips: 1,141 | | | Asm Inlay Odd thing just happend. I was shuffling my ASM chips while playing online and i noticed 2 spinners in the stack. As i pick up the chip i noticed that the inlay was somewhat floating up in the middle. It appears that the glue underneath has loosen up. As i press my fingers on the center of the inlay, wow, it poped right off my chip. Has any of u experience this before? I saw that their was very little glue applied underneath. |

Could be wrong though....

Why would I purposely break a chip?
I did it to test the chips durability. It was an ugly chip to boot.
ASM adds extra chips just in case you get any bad ones. I don't suspect it should happen too often. |

Makes one wonder if ASM makes their chips for casinos with a different process (as I would have suspected) which is more durable and long lasting? Maybe even the "clay" composition is slightly better as well for the real chips? |

To cut down on cost, ASM had to reduce the percentage of clay material (or whatever they use for real casinos) and other quality aspect in order to make the chips more feasible for the home market. The Palmas chips that u own are apparently of much higher quality.
Its a good thing this happened when no one was around or they'd all be looking at me and signaling "how much did u pay for these?" |

Are you not happy with your ASM chips? Cause I just dropped $1500 on some ASMs and I am curious to see what others have to say. |

I don't think Palmas are made any differently than present day ASM's. I have some Palmas and they are not the same as some older (1950's-60's) chips | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
