Anyone have any sugestions.

I have seen the double level case and that looks nice except I think it will be hard to get to the chips on the bottom. I am thinking of two single 1000 chip cases. The only requirnment is that they need to be portiable.

A friend of mine has the 2K model, lots of problems with durability of construction and integrity of the design. I would look for something else.

That is an excellent question, as I too am looking for a case to accomodate my 1000-1100 chips. I was checking out the pokergear reviews on this board, and found this:

The only question I have is whether this Pelican thing is big enough. The author of this review said it would fit, but had only 650 chips. It would also mean that I have to buy acrylic racks. this means total cost for this case is like 150 beans! aiya. I don't want cheap stuff, so I think I may go this route.

thanks, but i prefer to use the 5 x 20 acrylic chip racks (and possibly covers) because they are sturdier. I am just wondering whether such a setup is possible. Judging from the photos, it appears so. This forum is sooo useful.

I own a 1000 ct. Acrylic Birdcage and like it very much. The chips look awesome sitting in there as well.

i have the pelican 1510 w/pick n' pluck foam. the contents in mine are 14 chipco chip boxes (4x25) holding 1350 pharaohs, a poker genie, 3 sets of kem cards, and 12 matsui "daveyboy" plaques. construction and durability can't be beat. plus, it has roller wheels so you don't have to carry the case. but, this is not the case if you're looking to go the economic route. i paid around $150 for the pelican case alone.

Costco has a sale on the 1,000 clay chipset with 10 racks and a birdcage for $99.99. Keep the birdcage and sell the chips/racks!
