just got some samples through the post for paulson pharaoh's and TR King deadwoods and the first thing i have to say is just how amazing they look in real life, 10 times better than what they look like in pics on the forum. the deadwoods are slightly smaller (only by a little) and feel slightly slicker than the paulsons but i must say that both chips are fantastic. however, both chip sample sets have one chip which is defected. one of the paulsons has a slight chip on the edge and one of the deadwoods has a larger thiner chip.
how common is it to find defected chips and how easily do these chips break or scar. i can't work out whether the chip occured in transport or when i dropped them but i can't find any evidence of the chip.
another thing that i have noticed that after a while of chip shuffling on my desk the lighter colours (whites, yellows) seem to get dirty. do these chips get dirty quickly and if so how can it be fixed. however, if i bought a set i would only play on felt so i guess the chance of them getting dirty would be minimised.
