Chips: 272 | | Need advice on WSOP 2005 Replica Chips Time is almost up on Boston's final WSOP 2005 chip sale. I need some advice on which way to go with a high demon set. I can go with the 1K, 5K, 10K, 50K, and 100K. Or, I can go 1K, 5K, 25K, and 100K. Also, as nice as these chips are, there seems to be an error with the 50K chips. The other chips use the same spacing on the edge as on the top/bottom sides. The 50K chip doesn't, seems the edge marking is 12 equally spaced sections with dots in every other space. On the top/bottom the section spacing is like the real chip(narrow/wide). Does anybody know if that is how they will be made for this final order? It seems the 25K chip is ok. Thanks for any and all advice. |

Thanks for any and all advice. | I had these chips for a while and loved them - - would still have them if I hadn't gotten a good deal on selling them. But here's what I did when ordering. Since they are "2005 WSOP Replicas" I stuck strictly with what was in play in that tourney when building my set. Since I wanted high denom (like you) I used the 1K, 5K, 10K, and 50K chips. Neither the 25K nor the 100K chips were in use in 2005 - - and I'm not sure the 100K chip is even real.
I didn't let the edge spot detailing bother me on the 50K chip. Since the edgespots on Chipco chips doesn't line up anyway, it takes a very discerning and interested eye to notice the 'problem' you describe. For me that was less of an issue than it would have been, e.g., to have in my set a chip like the 25K or the 100K for the reason addressed above.
Good luck with your decision.

Ryan | My thoughts exactly. The 100k didnt look right IMO and I liked the 50k chip too much to even care that the spots werent perfect.
You won't really care once you have the chips. They are really nice and really do a great job of pulling off the wsop theme |

Chips: 504 | | | Re: Need advice on WSOP 2005 Replica Chips Personally...i dont like the colors schemes of some of the high denom chips, and as mentioned, some were not even used in the event.....I like your idea to stick with the 1K, 5K, 10K, 50K, and 100K, though I personally dont see any need for the 100k chip even, and I dont think it goes well with the set personally...nor does the 25k chip, they just dont mesh well with all the other chips...but that is all my opinion....Plus, I like alot of chips on the table personally, rather then coloring up to 100k's..Id just leave the 50's-

Chips: 203 | | | Re: Need advice on WSOP 2005 Replica Chips I'd go with the 1k, 5k, 10k, and 50k since those are what was really used. |
