Chips: 56 | | | What are thesee top hat chips? So I'm in an antique store the other day, and just for fun I ask if they have any poker chips. She shows me a nice little wooden case with about 500 white, red and blue chips. The chips has no design on them other than a top hat around the rim. I don't know what they were made of but the were definitely not abs plastic.
So I go to my local casino today, and ask to see a 50cent chip and it also has a border design of top hats.
Now as a proud owner of Pharaoh's, I know that Paulson's uses the top hat and cane logo on its mould. Are these other chips Paulson's?
The price is right on these chips if they are a quality chip.
Anyone help me out here?

Although Paulson chips now are branded with the TH&C's, it's possible to say that the chips you saw in the antique store weren't made by the Paul-Son Company. The Top Hat & Cane mold was first made and used by another company before jumping hands several times and finally resting with the Paul-Son Co. (it's the same story with alot of casino molds) ... we all now associate the TH&C's with Paulson. I'm sure these are of collectible value, if the price is right and you like them, I'd say go ahead and get them. http://www.antiquegamblingchips.com/...gn_manmade.htm

I think I might have to go down and get these.
If I get them they might end up for sale here on chiptalk -- anyone interested? |

Chips: 34 | | | Re: What are thesee top hat chips? Those are plastic, so pay accordingly , look for the dimple injection mold. They won't be worth nearly as much as clay chips.
