play poker?
make chip towers?
give them as a gift?
That's an unfortunate breakdown. They're probably non-denom, so you can use more than one color for any particular denom (if that's not too confusing for your players).
Or use them all as the same denom. Start each player with a different color of chips, then watch how the chips move around during your game.

Having said that you will probably need to adjust exactly what you do depending on the game. Generally though you will need to group colours together to make enough of a single denomination to be useful. Something like:
Blues, whites, pinks and yellows are all $1
Reds browns and pinks are all $5
etc.
As I say, its not ideal, but if that's all you have, then you'll just have to live with it .
Or buy more. |

Chips: 331 | | | Re: what do i do? I have a similar situation. I already have a cash set and I have 400 white and 200 blue dice chips just laying around. Talking with some people on Homepokertourney and they had some good suggestions like labeling some of them for seat assignments (i.e. table 1-seat 1, etc). They also mentioned making drink coasters, picture frames, etc. Good ideas for useless chips. |

Chips: 6,850 | | | Re: what do i do? Good suggestions here -- and I like the idea of labelling them so that if you do make let's say the red and whites worth the same, people won't get as confused if they have denoms on them.
But if you're going to spend the money on labels, why not post in Wanted to Buy and get some more chips from members. I had some dice-like chips I was willing to sell for $15 (or less), but no one wanted them (probably because they weren't actual dice chips!). I'm sure many people here have some they would love to get rid of!! Also, I saw stacks of dice chips for cheap at WalMart recently, tucked away in the sporting goods (and thus hard to find).
So if you are willing to spend a few dollars on chips, you could certainly get a more playable set. If not, I like the idea that they're all worth the same, everyone gets a color, and watching how the money flows around the table! |

Chips: 220 | | | Re: what do i do? I had the same issue with my first set of dice chips. We did the same thing. We each got one color. These were all the same value. Then we used all of one color as a higher value chip and split that up. It made the game kinda fun as you could see whose chips you were accumulating - made for fun needling and trash talk. |
