NJ Skulls or Desert Sands?

I'm looking to spend around $300 for a 500 chip set. Was thinking of going with either of these two. Any suggestions or comments on which would be the better choice? Or if there are any other comparable chips to these for about the same price, please let me know. Thanks!!!!

IMO, I'm more patial to the Desert Sands. It has an "Old Vegas" look to it that I'm partial to. Good luck

Depends on what you like. The DS have a more traditional casino look to them while the Dead Mans have a more casual, non-casino look to them. Other than that, what denoms and colors do you like as they vary a bit between chip styles.

I'm leaning towards the DS since they have a more typical casino look, as you stated. Gonna go with either 5, 25, 100 and 500 or 25, 100, 500 and 1000. I also like the colors on the DS much better than the skulls.

Decision made, good luck with them.

Re: NJ Skulls or Desert Sands?

Not to be an opinion breaker but I didn't go with the DS because the edge spots don't match up with the lines on the face. I think it looks silly. Just my 2 cents.

Re: NJ Skulls or Desert Sands?

Our group has use both so I can tell you a bit about them. The blanks are the same as everyone knows, just the graphics are different. Our group decided to go with the DS because the colors are more brilliant and so it is easier to tell apart for our old tired eyes. The skulls colors are harder to tell apart.
