Chips: 80 | | | Buying Paulson's on eBay Anyone have any experience buying Paulson's on eBay and/or any feedback on any specific regular Paulson sellers? I'm thinking of ordering a set of Pharaoh's with either a standard aluminum case or the nicer mohogany case and might go with one of the sellers on eBay. |

but can you get a significantly better price than what you can get with a retailer? i doubt it, the way the price on these has dropped lately. |

I've bought sample sets from Apache Poker Chips on eBay several times, and each time the samples came quickly and were in great shape. One time last month, a sample set I ordered got lost in the mail. After waiting two weeks to make sure the lost chips would never arrive, Apache sent a replacement set--no questions, no hassle, just great customer service!
Imagine Distributors also sells Pharaoh's chips on eBay. I've purchased sample sets of chips from them on several occasions as well. They too have excellent service.
I bought my 1000 piece Nexgen set from Prestobeat. Not only are their prices the best on the internet, they too offer excellent customer service, answering emails with questions and/or problems promptly and doing all they can to ensure their customers are happy with their purchase. I don't think Prestobeat sells Pharaoh's, but they do sell Paulson James Bonds.
I strongly recommend buying from eBay, particularly if you buy from one of the three sellers mentioned above. You can find great prices on Paulsons (or other poker chips), and all of the above sellers offer excellent customer service.

End of story. Michael is the best person to deal with and he has a great deal going on: $799 for 500 Pharaoh's and 20 Egyptian Plaques and a case. You can't get those plaques too many places now - and when you do they go for quite a bit of money ($10+ per). |

Be sure to shop around! Sometimes sellers post different prices on eBay than on their regular websites. 5stardeal is notorious for this; everything they sell is cheaper on eBay.

As longs is it's someone who has a reasonable feedback rating, you should be OK. My advice is to pay by Paypal or credit card, not money order or western union.
But for Pharaoh's, I would order directly from an online retail site -- Holdempokerchips.com (or there are others). This is much easier... - you can get exactly the chip breakdown you want,
- various types of cases,
- excellent fast service,
- don't have to wait for auctions to end,
- pay a variety of ways,
- fast shipping,
- cards or other merchandise at the same time,
- etc.
You don't have to get what's in one particular auction. And they are a good supporter of this site. |
