When you receive your samples, could you check for spinners? I have use both Desert Sand and NJ skull. I was disappointed with the high percentage of spinner. I believe the MG use the same basic blanks.
I don't know if you've ever used or handled any of the older Nevada Jacks Skulls/Desert Sands chips, but they're the same chip with the Mardi Gras graphics. Apparently there has been changes to the ones that are currently being produced that some consumers are finding either objectionable or different due to the difference in size.

Being a clay fan, I'm not too big on gaudy overdone graphics so the mardi gras ceramics don't appeal much to me. They are a nice "sounding" ceramic meaning they have more of a "clunk" sound than a "clink" that is usually typical of most Chipco ceramics. That being said, most NJ ceramics have a bit of a blurred graphic compared to chipcos due to the overall finish.
