I'm not sure which one is more rare. All the $500s (10) that I have are the ones that you linked to. I got these a few at a time and because they were all that type I figured the other kind (the one you have) was harder to come across.
The 12 1/8 is considered to be rarer then the 4V 4 1/8, because the supplier of these chips ran out of them first. No one but the original seller knows which one they had more of. In my experience this version is the more rare of the two. I have almost the same of each, but I do have a few more 4V 4 1/8 chips myself. Here is a pic of how many of each that I have along with the other 43 mm denoms.
