Advice Needed

Hey Guys,
I am looking to buy a new set (as is everyone here i'm sure) I currently have a set of Dice with the metal slugs. I find I am drawn to the more traditional chip without all the graphics. And I want as close to casino quality as possible. From what I can tell my only option is Paulson correct? And within Paulson the Pharoah's are currently the best? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I relly dont want to go above the proce of a Paulson home chip, but if I could pay alot less and get a chip that is close i'd be ok with that. I don't see paying twice as much for a chip that is only 10% better.

Re: Advice Needed

If you are willing to spend around $1 per chip and like the sound and feel of clay, you could look to ASM and fully customize a set to your liking. You would have complete control over everything from the inlay design and colour combos to the mold used on the outer rim. This would also give you the most personalized and secure set available on the market today.

Re: Advice Needed

Or you could get the same ASMs like you specified without inlays for half that price...

Re: Advice Needed

I have read that ASM has a weight of 8.5 or 9 grams. IS this weight difference noticable when compared to the 10 gram Paulson's? How does the feel and sound compare?

Re: Advice Needed

Here is the correct answer - please disregard all others (just kidding):

Get samples! You need to get yourself some samples of ASM, TR King, Paulson (Pharaohs), and Blue Chip (Mardi Gras\Martini Club). There is no way to tell what you are going to like until you hold them and caress them lovingly.

As an alternative you could just do what most of us here do. Buy a set of every chip ever made....

Re: Advice Needed

First, buy a low denom set of Key West chips from apache, then decide you want something else and sell the Key West Chips to me for $50. It's a great way to learn about chips and help me out at the same time.

Re: Advice Needed

After looking at the ASM's I have come to a delema. I don't want an inlay but like the American mole with the edge spots. And you can't get that. Sucks to be me I guess

If _TWO_ of them were to grab the Coconut by the husk the speed would surely be impacted.
