This ebay seller has the following 1000 chip set for under $100. He has 7 complaints this month alone. Most of the comments complained about a dented case. A few complained that these chips are used.

Can anyone verify this?
This sounds "too good to be true"
even the plastic chips cost more then this!
any comments would be appreciated.

They're not clay and there from China I believe, on the top $50 chips you can see the where extra material is hanging off the edge of the chip from injection molding.

What a crack up! Those are obvious CHEAP Chinese imitations of the Trademark Paulsons:

If you look at the auction photograph with all the chips spread out you can see a bunch of very bad edges. If that style of chip is copyrighted then someone should contact the copyright holder. Ebay does pull listings. I've seen it done pretty quickly as well.

Yes, I went back and noticed some of the "very bad edges"

I should get a small set just so that I can take a pair of pliers to them.
The smaller sets are cheaper then what I paid for my paulson samples.

When something sounds too good to be true, it often is too good to be true.

In this case it IS too good to be true. Stay away.

I'm starting to think that we might need a sticky on these chips, I don't think much more than a week goes by where someone isn't posting an inquiry about them.
