Have your ASM brass flakes become less noticeable?
To any and all ASM owners out there, I pose this question:
Have the brass flakes around the edges of your chips become less noticeable over time and with handling?
I've noticed that many/most of my chips have lost a considerable amount of the 'glitter' that you first notice when you unpack new ASMs. Now, for me this is actually a bonus. The glittery edges are perhaps the one and only thing I'm not fond of when it comes to ASM chips.... and that's only 'not fond' by a little bit. It's still much preferable to slugs or something like lead dust. So again, in my eyes it's a great thing that the glitter eventually seems to dull, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and how you feel about it.

Yes, the glitter goes away eventually. It takes about a week of shuffling the same stack. Not only does it go away, when u look closely at the chips, they actually look alittle better than the paulson because there is a texture to it, makes it look more solid and less plasticity.

Well since brass tarnishes, I would think that brass flakes would do the same. Perhaps the oxidation makes the flecks less visible? Now if your fingers start to turn green from handling the chips ...
