Who's ordering ASM?

Since the double edgespot came along, just curious to know who on this forum had placed an order. I get the impression from Cathy that PC is testing the market. I guess if there is enough interest, they will continue to provide this option. I just placed an order of 1100.

Re: Who's ordering ASM?

I have always wanted to get a set of customs from ASM and I planned on doing it sometime in the next few months. Now that I heard they are doing this though, I am working on my inlay as fast as possible so that I can take advantage of the offer in case they stop it anytime soon. I will be in for 1000+ in the next couple weeks.

P.S. VR - POST MOCK-UP PICKS!!! I am still looking for ideas. It was tough enough when I only had to pick one edgespot color!

Re: Who's ordering ASM?

I have ordered 1000 of the 2 color spots. I already have 1000 of the 1 color spots.

I have:
300 white with day-glo green
300 imperial blue with day-glo pink
200 mandarin red with arc yellow
100 green with day-glo orange (not impressed with how these turned out)
100 black with day-glo yellow

I ordered:
700 white with day-glo green/purple
200 imperial blue with day-glo pink/black
100 mandarin red with arc yellow/blue

these should go well with what I already have. I think that it is a pretty versatile set, for both cash games and tourneys.

here is a link to my inlays: http://www.pokerchips.com/proof/16178.jpg

sorry, I cannot post pics.

Re: Who's ordering ASM?

Well, from what i was told, u can place the order in now, and it will guarantee u the product even if they decide to discontinue this option. They will not start anything until January so u have plenty of time to do the inlay. My suggestion is, take alot of time on your inlay. Look at it, get other non chip junkies opinion, look at it again, and move in closer and look at it again and again. Then, go to bed, wake up and look at it again. This will no doubt be every Chip Junkies Ultimate Personal Set. The KGB of all sets. Im using a very simple and classy inlay design that, may not be the most exciting, i know i will not regret and see it as a timeless logo. I have place an order of 1100 but plan on ordering a total of 2500.

Personally, i dont think its necessary to continue this set with your current ASM sets. When u have friends over attending your tournament, its good to have 2 sets - 1 for tourney and 1 for cashgames. Even if u do not hold tournies, its good to have 2 sets and switch back and forth to make things more interesting.

Re: Who's ordering ASM?

$1.25/chip. I don't know if there is a price break set, but I am sure at some point there is one. This is a special deal that Jim is offering ChipTalk members. It may or may not ever be offered to the public.

I spoke with pokerchips.com -- $1.25 to chiptalk members only, most likely as an intro price. Non chiptalk members will pay $1.35. They made it sound like it wasn't going to be a limited time, just an intro price for us.

Re: Who's ordering ASM?

I'm getting ready to place an order for 3500 to 4000 customs. I may hold off until next year and mod my mockup to the multi color edge spots.

Re: Who's ordering ASM?

$1.25 is a discount for us, next price break is at about the 2,500 chip mark.

Re: Who's ordering ASM?

im taking precise care right now on my inlay and design to accommodate PCs manufacturing devices. I want to make sure that i dont have any details that would reveal or highlight any imperfection on the manufacturing process (ex. offcentered prints). Im gonna keep it classy and simple. Right now, im having a tuff time picking the H-mold or Horsehead.
