My daughter is 8. I taught her to play poker and she has my chip problem. She wants a set for the holdays. Any ideas? I don't want to label anything. I only need about 300 chips and I want to spend around $50. I am aware of the doggie-vegas style chips as well as an interesting set called vegas-girl that they are selling in target.
I would have suggested the super diamonds, until reading about how she's been bitten by the chip bug. Given their lighter weight and the lack of a metal insert, I think that chips of the Vegas Pro/Doggie series are a good choice for a child. While the doggie might be more appealing for her, I like the Vegas Pro for the different edgespot colors and rolling edge design that other people seem to hate.

Almost forgot, the new cheap chips at 5star (.10/chip) that are designed for labels and some custom labels with her name/picture/teddybear/whatever on them.

Teddy bear poker chips...that just makes me laugh.
Front Page at NevadaJacks.net has dice chips advertised at $0.08 per chip, but the purchase page does not. At $0.08 per chip that would be $24 plus shipping...yo ucould give them a call.
