They're exactly the same chip as the NJ Skulls, the Mardi Gras composites, and the American Beauty chips. Personally I like the Desert Sands design much better than the Skull design. They'll stack much better than Nexgens with their heavy linen finish, can't say about the Neophytes, I've never fooled around with them. Handling is something closer to a casino grade chip, and they're priced about half way between the imports and the casino grade chips.

In our last game using my DS set, we had a professional poker dealer in the game. We were playing O8 and we gave her the job of dealing and splitting the pot. She loves the chip and said that they handle as well as the Paulson's in the place where she work. This was a set with no spinners.

I think the NJs are better than the Nexgens or Neophytes. I also prefer the Neophytes over the Nexgens, unless you're getting custom labels made.
