Additional Poker Chips

I have been looking around this place for months and figured I finally post.
I currently have 600 of the 7.5g Cardinal chips in white, red, blue and green. I have been looking for about 2 months for a black chip in this same style and weight. I have only been able to find chips that have dots around the edges.
I have even contacted a couple different sites to see if they will ever carry them. Nothing postive except one site who said they would keep me informed if they ever do get them in.

Does anyone know where I could find a another chip for this set or know of a "close Match" another chip for this set. I would like to keep the same style but it looks like I don't have that option.

At this point, I will take any other color.

Re: Additional Poker Chips

This looks like the brookstone chips I got as a gift. Nice clay feeling chips, but a bit light and the suits aren't painted in like on your chip. Can you mark your chips with a fingernail? If so, then its probably the same ones and mine came in Blue, Black, Red & White.

Looks like 5stardeal has the same chips, but only in red, blue and white.

Ever think of trying the faux clays?

No, the paint does not come off. Do you have a link or a picture of the brookstone chip?

Re: Additional Poker Chips

The chips that the original poster has are not the same as the suits chips from 5Star. The chips that are sold in various department stores under the Cardinal branding do not have a metal slug and the suits colors are applied to the surface rather than being molded into the chip like the ones from 5Star (which do also have a metal insert) and weigh the "official" 11.5gr (or thereabouts.)

I know that I am new here so I don't want this is come of as being rude so please don't take any offense to this.

Actually, the ones from 5star,
http://www.5stardeal.com/expand.asp?...519&subcat=116
do not have a metal insert.

"These 39 mm diameter casino sized chips are 7.2 grams in weight. They are produced from a composite resin and have a soft feel to them. There is no insert in these chips and therefore no "plinky" sound." -from 5star

Yes, the ones that I currently have and looking for another color are the ones from Cardnial.

Re: Additional Poker Chips

Oooh! I didn't know they had those! You're right, those may very well be the same as the Cardinal one that you got. I was thinking of the same chip with the metal insert that they've had for years (both are a knockoff of the Bud Jones suits chip.)

Sorry, haven't had much interest in what Trademark has to offer in the way of chips lately so I haven't been keeping up on their inventory (besides they haven't had much that is new recently.)

Re: Additional Poker Chips

I did check out Trademarkpoker.com to see if they had them. They have a 300 chip set that does contain a black chip but I am not sure about this one. I think I will try and contact them to see if they will send me a sample. Wish me luck.

I was at a Spencer Gifts the other day and saw a set that contained a black suited chip. I asked the guy behind the counter if I could open the set to see if it was close to the cardinal but no such luck. It felt really light and really cheap.
