I played 5 10 today for about an hour while on a business trip. I only played two hands to the river and won both. Left up 83.
ANY RATE - They have Bud Jones chips and I was not impressed.
The chips were dirty (which is more the casinos fault than the chips). The $5 chips were sticking together.
The chips were really light. I kept 3 of the $1 chips, but have no means to weigh them. They feel lighter than my Chipcos - so maybe 9 grams ?
I think if the chips were clean and a little heavier, I would like them OK. Not sure, but I think Bud Jones makes a heavier chip? But if they do, what do most casinos use?
Well if they are 39mm Bud Jones V7 chips, like the ones below, they should weigh 11 grams. Bud Jones do make lighter chips called V6 but they still weigh 10.5 grams which is as much as ChipCo's.

THe photo that Fetish girl posted is the same as the chips I played with. Without a scale, they feel lighter than the Paulson chips I have, lighter than the chipcos, and about the same as a labeled Horsehead ASM. 8.5 to 9 grams is my guess.

Must be 8.7 grams then, like the ones CaptLego measured. Maybe some of the older BJ's don't have metal inserts? It's kindah funny that BJ's are plastic chips with metal inserts
