faux clays and super diamonds..

Are these the same chip with a different stamp? And will the super diamonds take labels?

Thanks, John

These are two totally different chips.

Go to the reviews section here and they have been discussed at great length.

Depends what you mean by "same chip" ...

Based on my samples, I would say they are the exact same "faux clay" material, just with a different mold. Now the different molds make them feel somewhat different, and the surfaces are not textured the same. But I would say they are very similar.

The center area of the diamonds is about 1/16" larger than the faux clay dice chips. I don't know if the SDs would take labels as well as the faux clay dice. Neither one seems inset enough to me, but lots of people swear by them so I just can't say since I've never labelled any.

From the small samples I have I think they are different materials. They have the slighest bit of touch difference, and a small amount of sound difference. They faux have a little more clunk than clank. If that makes any sense.

Since this set is just going to get me by until I get my ASMs ordered I hate to spend any money..

But I love the colors of the SD, but I love the rep of the faux..

Should have just bought dice chips and never looked on the internet.

I'm with Captn, from the samples I have, they seem like they are made with different materials. With the faux clay feeling/sounding much better. The super diamonds I find remind me more of the old cheap interlocking plastic chips.

I love my faux clays. 800 and racks for like 70 shipped from 5star.

Dont hesitate to buy them. You'll quickly forget about the dice on the perimeter. The feel and sound of these you cant beat, at least not for 8cents a chip, so go for it
