Smile My Bahamia cash set has arrived!

After a slight delay on their trip from Germany to the United States, my mint Bahamia cash set has arrived! (thanks to shaboo, who was a great seller by the way).

Here are a few initial pictures of the set. Hopefully I'll be adding to those pictures and get some live stack shots next Thursday when they see their first game.

1,200 chips, $20,000 bank ---> more than enough to run any 1-2 game and most 2-5 games. I love this chip set.

Well done Sir! -=- DrStrange

PS I hope they don't stay mint for long.

Yeah, mint is very nice. I have a set of used 1000 Highway 9 chips (which I love), but I've been looking forward to getting my hands on a set of mint casino chips since I started buying nice chips (which I'll grant you was only a few months ago after I found this site).

Yeah, the bank size is going to be plenty big for the foreseeable future. I actually ended up with almost 1300 chips and a bank of just over 25k (I left out the uneven stacks for that picture). So far our first 7 games of single table 1/1 had total banks of $5025, $3405, $3925, $3370, $4900, $4535, $4580. So we have a long way to go before we'll really make use of all those chips. But add a second table in the future, maybe a shift to 1/2 or 1/3, and you never know...

And don't worry, they won't stay "mint" for long as they're scheduled to go into play this Thursday night (except the $100 chips, I have a feeling they'll stay mint for a while).

Very nice.
I remember seeing you post in the comment section of the ad. I think I even asked the seller if you were still interested as I thought we could potentially split the shipping costs since you live so close. I think by the time I sent him the message you had already decided to pass.

I was originally only going to buy a set of 1000 (200/500/200/100), but decided to just go ahead and buy the remainder of what he had left (about 300 more, excluding the $500 chips).

Re: My Bahamia cash set has attrived!

I wanted to upgrade my tournament set to mint chips but in the end it was the $500's that was the deciding factor. They are nice chips and shaboo's price was in line with the market but I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much. And without the $500's the shipping costs represented a big part of the price. Not sure what I'd have done if we could have split the shipping costs?

Yeah, since I was buying this to use as a cash set, the (expensive) $500 chips were a non-issue. As you mentioned, shaboo's prices (especially the $500 chips) were pretty decent in terms of the market, but certainly I had no need for the $500 chips for a cash game (even the $100 chips will likely never get played, although I really like the look of the $100 chip).
