Yea, I member that actually, the black inlay with gold were nice...Dont know if that was intentional, or they were phasing out the older clays with the new Bud Jones chips so they ended up getting mixed

The following year was the completely brand new set of BJ's were used to seeing, if I remember correctly.

No offence, but that doesnt solve the problem with the 6 and 9 being confusing. Instead of mocking up the A try a 6d and 9d instead.

Sure it does. With the suit being underneath the large pip they would be much easier to distinguish.

Here's what I think they need to look like. You can use them the 'old fasioned' way or use the Pokerpeek corners, and they look like everyone expects them to avoiding the 6/9 confusion.
