It all started when I ended up buying a few 400 piece acrylic carriers. I wanted them for a small sized cash game. All the chips I have right now are suited chips and I only use those for tournaments at the moment and do not want to lug around 1000 of them if I ever want to go play a small cash game with some friends or what not. I have heard and read numerous times how great faux are plus they are super cheap so I thought why not. Boy, am I really glad I decided to buy some! They are the bomb, period! It won't be long before I end up buying more. Plus I would like to give pos feedback to DCG. They had my supplies shipped in three days. Thanks DCG!

Note: the bottom 100 whites (stacked) are hopefully going to be dyed blue. And yes I will post pics of results/process.

The 400 chip breakdown goes like this:
white-200
blue (soon to be dyed)-100
Red-80
green-16
black-4

I ended up buying I believe around just under 700. I have lots of extra whites because I am really interested in the new dyeing craze and I need to try and make myself some nice blue chips for my cash set. Plus a few spares and extras to test dyeing, etc.

Thank you, and yes, I bought the set of 4 from him/her. I sold two and am keeping the other two. They are really nice cases and am completely satisfied.

Well its been a while but I finally got around to dyeing a batch of blues to complete my set.

They turned out a really dark blue, but they still look pretty sweet.

What shade of dye did you use for the blue?

It was Navy Blue Liquid Rit Dye. It doesn't take long for that dye to dye the chips.

I would not worry about the blues. There is significant color variation in the original reds as shown in your photo. And, at 4 cents each, you can always buy more whites! Good luck and nice set.
