My Matsui WSOP Chips (chip pron)

First, I should start this thread by thanking Josh for allowing me to participate in the Group Buy. Like everyone else, I was anxiously waiting for these chips to arrive and wasn't sure they would by the end of the weekend. They did! Like a little kid waiting for Santa Claus to arrive, I must have looked out my front door several times in the early morning. I then attended my daughters Gymastics competition and arrived home at approximately 4:30PM, and what do I see on my side porch but two lovely white USPS boxes. Big Smile, Big Smile (for all you movie buffs, what movie was that from?).

When I finally opened the boxes, I was pleased to say the least. The colors are sweet and after having the opportuntiy to handles the sample Zens, I had a basic idea on how they felt.

Here's the breakdown of the 1250 WSOP chips that I purchased:

1K - 300
5K - 300
10K - 300
25K - 250
100K - 100

The Chips were put into play a little later in the evening as we had over some of the wifes family.

We started out with 1 million in chips . The chip breakdown was;
15- 5K
15-10K
11-25K
5-100K blinds started out 5-10K, 15 minute blinds.

We played for a few hours and I was fortunate enough to win.

After playing and everyone left, it was time to stack the chips for some photo's. While I was stacking the chips my wife gave me a strange look and told me I had some issues. I think she was half kidding.

Here are a few photo's that I took, some of the Matsui chip holders didn't make it through the trip unscathed and were cracked , hopefully they can be replaced or I'll buy a few more if given the chance.

Very nice Irish!!!

As cool as those racks are, they aren't as thick as the standard style rack.

I plan on doing a Group Buy for the racks so that we can get everyone replacements for ones that cracked in transit. Depending on how many we order, I will probably be able to get them for as low as $3/rack.

Hopefully the beauty of the chips will tide everyone over until then.

I might need to score a sample set from seomeone before the rebuy. I have a question, what's the feel of these chips like? Are the anything like BJ's?

BTW, fantastic pics! Nice work.

They are similar, but not the same. The plastic has a more textured feel compared to the smoother V7's, and they don't have that suction effect. They are much easier to shuffle than Bud Jones because they lack that suction, but they are a bit more slippery for the same reason. They will stack to the moon though.

Thanks UW85, I tried my best to stack them as I'm new to that too. It was fun trying to set them up and be a little different with each stack. Thanks for the compliments as I sometimes can be a little "long winded" when it comes to short stories.

Thanks Orcryst007 and I would have to agree with you on the chip holders. They are sweet and how they lock on top of each other. Now I'll have to hit Joe up for some of his bird cages.

Excellant and as usual you come through for us. I really like the chips and honestly, thanks for putting up with me. Now lets attempt to get that 50K chip which would make my set complete. It would be a nice neutral color to go along with these chips.

I'll also be in for at least 4 racks.
