Re: my tourney set

Those are pretty nice for a first set - you could definitely do worse. I've seen them in a store and they looked pretty sweet. I like how that set comes with tons of accessories:

Of course, joining Chiptalk is only gonna make you want more chips... authentic casino chips, custom ceramics, Paulsons, custom clays, etc., etc., etc.

I think he means how fuzzy the pic turned out. It's hard to see the chips.

Before you go and buy "all she has", keep in mind that (I think) Kardwell is the manufacturer (or at least importer) of those chips, and the prices on their site are MSRP. Basically, no one would sell them for more than those prices, and they can be found cheaper than that anywhere their actually sold.

Not knowing how much you spent, I'd say if you can get them for $0.25/chip or better, it's probably a good deal. If not, there are other chips in that range that might be better... but still, I do like all the matching extra stuff you can get. And they're not that common (have seen them a few places, but not nearly as common as Nexgens or Nevada Jacks / Desert Sands or even Paulson "classics" clay chips).

How are the plastic cards that come with the set? The faces on those are a neat touch.

For those that didn't follow the link, here are some (manufacturer's) pics of these:

Seriously? Wow! < $0.01 each is pretty much unbeatable for any chip! If I were you, I'd get 3 or 4 more sets... good enough to throw 50-100 player MTTs!

The only thing I find strange about the cards is that the "suicide king" isn't very suicidal... but at least the "man with the axe" has an axe.

Re: my tourney set

Yes these look like an excellent find. The cards are cool - I like having variety in my poker games. And people will enjoy the chips too
