Chips from Europe's biggest cardroom

i thought some of you might be interested to see some pics of the chips used in the Concord Card Casino in Vienna, Europe's biggest and oldest cardroom.

But don't expect too much, it's still Europe...

There are two different kind of €1 Chips, the one on the pic seems to be from Chipco, the other one (not on the pic) looks the same as the €2 and €5 Chips. I think they might be Bud Jones, the feel is very similar to the Harrah's Marina I have, just no CI.

added: 100 € and 1000 €

Re: Chips from Europe's biggest cardroom

The ceramic chip is from Chipco, the plastic chips are probably from Abbiati.

never heard of those (still a bloody nub), but judging by the pics on their website i think you're probably right.

My guess would be Bud Jones, not Chipco.

The chip to the left is a Chipco with 100% certainty (see the CI mark). The two other chips are Abbiati 4 split insert plastic chips (http://www.abbiati.com/Pagine/Produc.../4SplitTwo.htm).

How can Abbiati rip off a BJ design and get away with it? Doesn't BJ have that design patented?

BJ or Abbiati?

Re: Chips from Europe's biggest cardroom

If you look closely, there are small differences in the details.

Perhaps the chip on the right is BJ, and the chip in the middle is Abbiati.

The chip on the right has the suits ordered (clockwise from the diamond) like the Rio D chip. BJ is known to use this order. BJ sometimes also have the order .

The chip in the middle has the suits ordered which is the same as my Abbiati sample, and as on the Abbiati website.

Re: Chips from Europe's biggest cardroom

I've seen Rio D's on eBay advertised as BJ... If its on eBay, it must be correct... right?!
