First action

My $5 chips finally came in so we threw together a cheapo .10/.20 cash game.
This is the first time my cash game set saw any action.
In the last pic I am behind the camera and the 12 o'clock position is in the hand, we are both all in even though all the chips are not.
I of course felted him.

Do you guys think the chips clash to much being from different casinos?

Re: First action

I think the NCV,$.50, and $1s all go good together.. The $5 chip is the only one I would say "clashes" but it looks fine..

Re: First action

heck, the way I play sometimes, I'd never even see one of those $5 chips, so I wouldn't have to worry about it clashing with my .25s lol

Re: First action

I think they look fine.

I believe the $1 should stand out from the rest just because it's worth more and there should be no risk of confusion at cash-out time. In my BCC hot stamp set I chose Hot Pink for my $1 for this reason.

Thumbs up Re: First action

Nice, I am not a huge fan of (paulson)starbursts but I love to get chips from casinos that are not well known in my area that are colorful (mostly paulsons). It usually gets questions from the players and maybe they learn about other places out there or where I have traveled. I usually have a funny story from my trips. Its a nice ice breaker as I play in alot of ring games with new players coming in and out weekly.

But to me color is fun !!!

Jeff

Re: First action

I like the color combinations of your chips. I think they look great! I love those starbursts. Even though they are a very simple chip, there is just something about them that is just awesome.
I didn't know you lived in Columbus Oldcycles. I do too (downtown). If you ever need new players for your games, me and possibly a couple of my buddies would be interested. We don't play big stakes. Mostly $10-$20 buy-ins sometimes with rebuys for tournaments.
We're always looking for new people for our games as well if you and your friends are interested.
Congrats again on your cash set!

Not sure if it was that game, but Oldcycles kindly invited me to a game. I bailed because I was too tired, but I'd ike to start playing some low stakes live poker.

Re: First action

The fives do kind of clash but I think the other chips look great especially those 1$ chips. Those Biloxi chips are probably my favorite 1$ chips period and if you'd like to unload them sometime let me know. Nice set up!

Re: First action

Did someone go broke with a Jack high flush on a paired board?
