Now I just need to deside on chip designs and get some money from somewhere. Even playing with those online chip designing softwares is fun.
Here's a link to some of my chip pron for you guys anyways. Even my poker playing friends think I'm nuts already, but atleast you may appreciate these. Nothing special yet, but some decent pictures.. http://www.cs.tut.fi/~pennane2/pokeri/poker.html |
Nice pics - and welcome to the most expensive message board out there. Like some have said, be patient with designing your chips. If you intend to go the custom route, you will be investing a lot of $$$ and you want them to be as nice as possible to avoid any later regret.
Check out the group buy section as well - many times the board teams up on a "custom" order to drop the price. The chips are still fairly unique, but cost a lot less than a single set fro an individual. Also, if you are looking to get your feet wet quickly, Palm Imports (one of the sponsors) may have a low cost customizable clay chip out soon (if not already).
Your first set will also not be your last (I said that this was an expensive board). |

I'm surely not rushing my clay purchase, it will probably not happen for months, atleast not in full custom mode. And maybe just a few hundred clays without inlays for starters. I'll definitely follow the group buys, some of those designs have been quite impressive. |

Chips: 518 | | | Re: Some chip pron from a newbie That is a nice collection you have to start with. As the others have mentioned, do not rush into things quite yet. Get some samples from various manufacturers and see the difference in person. Many of the site sponsors will run limited time offers that will open up previously unavailable options (new inserts for ASM, tons of new options for BC, etc). Soon enough the right deal will happen for you and you will be able to get the (first) set of your dreams.
Welcome to Chiptalk.

Chips: 137 | | | Re: Some chip pron from a newbie Welcome! As others have stated...samples. Check the M2M section for chips too. If you want custom clays Bluechip or ASM is the way. If you like Paulson, check out the new hot stamps, they can be labeled too...
What's the view out your window?
