It's hard to say if the claim that they are a new type of injection molded clay is true. But the bottom line, at this price, with the look and the feel and the weight and sound of the chip, I am very satisfied. The inlay is a little slick, but that doesn't bother me. They stack well too. I did notice when I compare my 25 cent clay desert palms and the 50 cent imports, I can fit 21 clays in my chip racks, vs. 20 imports. I also noticed the the diameters of the 50 cents imports do have some minor variation. That is probably the one minor flaw that I can find with the imports. | You got the 25c Clay Correct? I do wish they had made a 25c import, but can't really ask for much more than this! |

Chips: 224 | | | Re: My New Desert Palms Chinese Imports These or the Bellagios are without a doubt the best quality budget chip (not counting the FC's, because those are MEGA cheap).
These look awesome in these pics and are an AWESOME buy for the money...
Thanks for the pics!!

Chips: 49 | | Re: My New Desert Palms Chinese Imports Wow! Those are:
1) Nice looking. I like the color combos better than the high end Desert Palms.
2) Clay. Even if they're not quite Paulson quality, I've wanting to own a clay set for quite awhile.
3) Inexpensive. $125 for 500? Heck, you'd pay that much for some of the nicer looking "official 11.5g casino weight" sets!
I ordered a set before the pixels on my screen were even dry!
Plus, the case looks good and Jim from the Chip Room is from Michigan, right? All around good deal, if you ask me. |

Chips: 2 | | | Re: My New Desert Palms Chinese Imports I ordered these a month ago, called customs today and they should arrive tomorrow, I can't wait! Had to wait a while because I live in Belgium and with the holliday's, everything at USPS goes a bit slower
I'll let you know what I think of them! |

Chips: 47 | | | Re: My New Desert Palms Chinese Imports I ordered a sample set of these a while back, I loved the colors and overall design of this chip. However, I couldn't handle how slick they were. They shuffle well, and stack OK, but when moving a stack around they tend to fall apart quite easily. I even took the labels off a couple of them (yes labels, as they have a printed label AND a vinyl coated label over the print) and the chips were still slicker than I was comfortable with. The labels removed did make a difference, as the thickness of the double label tends to make the label stick out above the label recess.
I also felt they were a little on the light side when compared to other chips (both paulson and chipco). |

Chips: 223 | | | Re: My New Desert Palms Chinese Imports check out the chiproom marketplace, Jim is making some chips of the same composition with new molds and are blank so they can be labeled.
I am running the contest to pick the edge spots for the new chips.
