1000 chip aluminum case - Recommendation

Be careful though, there are some similar looking cases but a big difference in quality.

I have a 1,000 chip case and I would recommend against it as it is just too heavy when loaded with chips. I would suggest you use two 500 chip cases instead.

The case is so heavy when loaded with chips that I worry the handle will break. These things are just not made very well. I have since started using two 500 chip cases.

I too would highly recommend against any of those Chinese high-capacity chip case. The handles and the frames do not differ from the construction of the smaller 300-500 chip cases. You have every right to be concerned about the handle separating from the case. That very thing happened yesterday to a local retailer who loaded up a 1000 chip case with Nexgens, and the case with the 1000 chips dropped onto her foot. Were it a customer, there would probably be an injury claim against the store owner at this point. If you're going to use a Chinese case, try to use mutiples of 300-500 chip cases (and sometimes I'm not terribly confident of the 500 chip cases.)

I would say that using two 500 cases is the way to go. I would stay away from a 1000 case.

I got one of these 1000 chip cases from this guy on ebay (my 3rd purchase from him and happy with all) for $1 + $25 shipping. A good deal and definitely a better quality case than the similar looking one that was in the other thread. I put 650 paulson JBs in it (which was all I had) and it was plenty sturdy.

I am using one of the task force tool cases. I am extremely happy. I got chip boxes from 5star and it is working out great!!

I stenciled the top for some personalization appeal.

Here is the interior.

The empty space is for a set of plaques that I am making. Oh and that cup is to hold my dice. (Always need dice in a case...right!?!?)
