IMHO, if you can actually lift and carry a fully-loaded 2,000 chip case in one hand ( at least 20 kg/44 lbs.!) any significant distance, most of your opponents probably are quite afraid of winning any significant amount of money from you.
$130 is not so bad when you consider how much lesser quality aluminum cases cost. The one originally referenced in this thread is exactly half as much as the huge, rolling model you are referencing, but I bet it couldn't stand up to even half as much abuse as the Pelican could. I love mine and don't think it is overkill at all to invest in the best possible protection for my chips, especially when, in the final analysis, the cost of the case was only about 1/10th the amount I spent on the chips themselves. Go ahead and save the money now and see how much it benefits you when your cheaper case breaks and your chips fall to the floor. Then you can re-factor the expense of buying yet another case and replacing any of the chips which may have been damaged in the fall.
The more I write, the better my Pelican purchase seems.

See, an even better deal. I don't know why so many people seem to have a problem spending the money to get a good case for their chips. Would you feel comfortable buying a BMW and then have a high school auto shop class do the maintenance on it for you? I wouldn't. So why do people feel comfortable spending between $500.00 to $1,000 on chips and then stress out about putting more than $25.00 or $30.00 into the case to carry them around in? Makes no sense to me at all. For what I paid for my Paulson's, I wouldn't consider it overkill unless I invested in an armed guard and a Brinks truck to keep them safe and secure.

will do a review when I get some more time. However, here are my initial observations. The first thing I noticed was a few "dents" in the front of the case right out of the box, so i may send it back. It rolls quite nicely. It doesn't even compare to a pelican, etc., as it seems to be more cheaply made (prolly in china). Although I have not put any chips in it yet, it seems to be sturdy enough to get the job done. Will write more later!
