ideas on a case for 1200 chips and cards?

was interested in a pelican case or alternative that can hold racks for 1200 chips and a few setups of poker size copags and KEM card cases...

can anyone recommend something?

I have 550 Paulson chips in a Pelican case and it is AWESOME. They have cases on a wide range of sizes and would definately have something to fit your bill. The cases themselves are practically indestructable; however, with 1200 chips you might do well to buy one of the cases they offer with wheels because carrying it will be a task indeed.

I bought this one to fit my 1500 horseheads (not here yet)

I'll be storing this chips in racks and this is the best option I could find without having an enormous case.

Indeed...

would you recommend those chip boxes (4X25) or the standard racks (5X20)?

I use this and am very happy with it. I can post a pic with it setup if you like.

I use chip boxes (4x25) because they seem to be easier to handle and more secure in the case. I like them; however, I am looking for new ones because my Paulson's fit 26 per row in the ones I have now. I have seen several threads indicating the Chipco boxes fit the Paulson's correctly, but I have not yet tried for myself.

Check this out. Several of us have these. They are very nice. However, I wouldn't exactly call them portable. They are prefect if you don't travel with your chips though, like me.

It looks very nice; however, I wouldn't want to try and move for two reasons: The case itself is too nice and I wouldn't want to damage it and it looks like it would be even heavier than a Pelican fully loaded or not. I would love to have a case like that for home storage and display, as well as a nice Pelican setup for travel. I, unfortunately, only have 550 chips at the moment, so I am waiting until I buy another 600 or so to lay down the cake for the fancy oak case. It is very nice, but much larger than I currently need.
