Chips: 1,728 | | It's big enough to accommodate the imported chips from China, which are usually larger than US made casino chips. This thing is made in China anyway, and given the weight of the carousel, I'd guess that there is probably MDF under the wood veneer. Quote: |

Chips: 1,728 | | Good article. It kind of explains why so much crap from Chinese factories are being dumped on our shores and the general attitude that China has in producing these products. If Americans were to stop accepting such low quality goods, there may be a change in the emphasis on quality. But as long as the market exists, there is no reason for the Chinese factories nor for the importers of such trash to make any improvements. Quote: |

Chips: 111 | | | Interesting article, I believe China at this point in time is where Japan was in the 50's and 60's. I remember the cheap Japanese products. |

Chips: 1,728 | | Very much so, though it would seem that China has the ability and the technology to produce better quality goods, but chooses not to because of the willingness to accept lower quality goods. There are goods being produced in China that pass reasonable QC standards, much of it in the electronics industry, like the much overrated iPod, and products like ThinkPad laptops are now owned and produced by a Beijing based company.
Now if you remember the quality of Japanese products from the 50's like I do, then do you know what that makes us? .... OLD! Quote: |

Chips: 1,728 | | Understood and the parody was pretty clear in the article. But as you say, there are some pretty obvious points of truth in it as well. I guess that's why Wal*Mart is the nations largest retailer. Quote: |

I should change it to "grandad604" but I have been using dad604 for decades. I enjoy being a grandad more than being a dad.
The quality goods that are made in China are usual control by US or Japanese companies. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
