I have this case, though I bought it from a different vendor. Mine is nice enough. Two things I don't like about it.

1. It is damaged easily...lots of scratches.
2. Not all chip racks hold the same amount of chips.
...both minor issues...

I do think it is a nice looking case and I especially like the fact that there is extra space under the racks for cards or extra chips...

Man, I hate those s/h prices on Ebay. Looks like they give the stuff away and make their money on the shipping charges.

Not sure if your looking for a wooden case.... But greatlandsports has a great aluminum case called the "elite". You can also search for it on eBay, I have the 550 case for my JB's. It's a much better case compared to all the other run of the mill aluminum cases that are out there.

A few things to look out for,

Wood chip carriers/cases:
They tend to wearout very quickly which is just the nature of the material, You will find some really nice wood cases that look like humidors and are about as expensive, but they don't travel that well.
So if you are in the market for a case for the house, by all means shoot for a woody but if you are going to be doing any traveling I would suggest a stronger material (aluminum, acrylic, even vinyl)

Ebay Shipping:
"That's how they get ya" as it is said. For instance take a look at the 1000 chip acrylic carriers on ebay, I have seen them sell for .99 (then the rub) plus 45.99 shipping. Outrageous.
always check the shipping on any item before biding.

I will be traveling with them but only occasionally. Mostly the case is just for storage around the house. I went ahead and ordered one off ebay for $15 plus $13 shipping. We'll see how it turns out.

Sellers do this for two reasons:
1) The "perceived cost" of the item is lower than that of their competetors.
2) The seller saves $ on the eBay "final auction value" fee, which is based on the final selling price of the item and does not include shipping charges.

---Killermold--- ,

I like the chip design you use as your picture. You should post pics of the entire set.

I found the case you're talking about. I like the fact that this seller has Canadian shipping info right there on the page.

But I'm curious.... I currently have a small wooden case for my Sopranos chips, but I'm getting more ASM Horseheads than will fit in it. You note that you have this case.... how does that felt stuff inside hold up to the wear of putting chips in and taking them out? And is it really as sturdy as they claim?

Thanks,
Allan

Killermold - Enjoy your new case, let us know what you think of it.
kalimba - I was unaware that the fees were based on the final auction price, I guess it does then make sense, I always assumed that they were just trying to target the sucker. learn something new everyday!

Great Case

These are Great Cases. Best for the Home user...

http://www.5stardeal.com/deals/10Exp...tCode=10-PC500

I found that the Oak cases are Glued together and does not do well for Traveling... I found these Professional Mahoganey cases for $40..

Best House for the chips you can buy..
