100 Chip Acrylic Tray from 5StarDeal

I just got 10 of these trays:

http://www.5stardeal.com/deals/10Exp...ctCode=10-5030

Very disappointed that they are over sized. I have the 2005 Paulson JBs and it takes 21 of them to fill a row in the tray. Does anyone know if the Paulsons are just thin or are these trays too big?

I have about fourty clear chip trays. I can't remember off hand, all the places i bought them. The trays i have my 2005 Bonds in fits perfect with 20 chips, i have other trays that are a little sloppy, and could possibly put 21 in. The trays look exactly alike, but some are a little loose.
If you were using Blue Chip chips, i would say it could be warped chips, but the Bonds are are all the same as far as chip width.
The trays look alike, but aren't.

I think I bought the same trays you did but I'm not having that problem. Of course, I'm not putting Paulsons in there.....yet (Pharoahs order will take care of that).

I don't think they are oversized though. If you have another tray or a friend with another tray give that a try. I think it's just the chips.

Just my 2 cents, I am often wrong <-- disclaimer

Anyone know of a place to get trays that fit the Paulsons?

5stardeal's racks are indeed a little too big. 21 nexgens WON'T fit but 21 superdiamonds ALMOST fit. I'd say just get different racks and sell those (or maybe use them for when people have to move tables in tournaments).

FWIW this is the lowest price I've found on chip trays. I don't have any, so I can say if they are sized correctly or not. Their shipping costs can be a little high too.

Those chineese racks are too big. I have to put 21 vineyards in there to make them stable. Same thing with chipco chips.

Re: 100 Chip Acrylic Tray from 5StarDeal

The current racks from Trademark are about 1-1.5 mm wider than the older ones. I just got some in an order that I received a couple of days ago. I'll guess that the Paulson home chips are probably just a tad thinner as well, or at least the ones that you've received. I was able to get 21 TR Kings, Blue Chips, and some old Paulson H&C chips (from the early 80's) into the new racks. All three of these chips measure about 3.2mm each compared to the 3.3 mm that you'll find with Chipco chips and the varying thicknesses of the Chinese imports that tend to go from 3.1 to 3.4mm thick. Even the Nexgen chips are a little loose in the new racks, whereas they are nice and snug in the older racks.

Those are probably from Trademark (5stardeal and pokerchipsshopping) as well since they drop ship from Trademark Services.

I just put 20 2005 JB'S in a chip rack, and they were nice and snug. I put the same 20 JB'S in another chip rack that looks identical to the first one, and they are a little loose. It's gotta be a quality control issue on the manufacturer of the clear chip trays.
