Belt/Strap for Aluminum Poker Case?

I have a 300 chip aluminum case I like since it's small, however, I'm concerned that the fasteners will pop open and spill my chips while I'm carrying them around. I'm looking for a luggage strap/belt. Measurements say I need one that's about 2 feet long. However, all the straps I see online are either 12 inch (for connecting luggage together) or 96" (for large luggage). Anyone found anything that smaller and easy to take off/put on? Thanks.

May not be the greatest looking, but if you had a shorter one you could fasten it to the case with small bolts.

You should be able to get some "webbing", straps (flat rope) from any outdoor store. Kind of like an army surplus store or an REI. Possibly a hardware store. You should be able to get any length.

Walmart (and The Home Depot) both carry bungee cords in various lengths. Rubber straps with hooks work better, last longer, and have less 'give', imo -- they are also available at both places in various lengths. A single strap should work just fine if you get it tight enough.

If your latches have a lock, using that should prevent it from opening when you want it to stay closed. I've carried chips in AL cases for years (usually 600 or 750 chips, so a lot more weight than just 300) and I've never had a latch fail while a case is being carried. I don't bang 'em around though -- that will cause a case to accidentally open more so than the latch failing.
