Chips: 840 | | | Anyone know of a nicer case for a heads-up set? I have one of these cases (holds 100 chips and 2 decks). Basically, I think it's junk.
Does anyone know of a better case for displaying 100 chips?
I originally got this thinking that it would be a nice coffee table type piece to show off / store some of my heads-up sets around the house, but was sadly disappointed in the quality. The rows don't hold exactly 50 chips, and aren't contoured at all, so the chips are always falling down /sliding around and such. The space for the decks is too small and a pain to get the cards in and out of. The quality / materials are cheap. The lid flips all the way down when open, so you can't keep it open (like in the picture) without leaning it up against something.
Anyone have/seen something better out there?

i'm more interested in getting something of higher quality than the price, so i'm expecting to pay much more.

I was looking for a nice heads-up case and happened upon this one on e-bay. I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I got it (plus, the one I got came filled with elephant and crown chips)! It appears that Marion & Co still carries them ($80)... Not sure what you're looking to spend, but it's a great case! (I got the 250-count chip case, but they have a 200-count too.) FYI, each column is 2 stacks of 25 chips (with just enough extra space so you're not squeezing them in there, but not too much space), the lid stays open upright on it's own, and the lock works. Hope this helps & good luck!
