Case that holds Chip Racks?

Anyone know where you can buy an aluminum case that holds 20x5 acrylic chip racks? Something like this without the chips and no clear side?

This is a Promaster camera case. It's not quite as pretty as the pic you posted, but it works well and it's very sturdy. About $60 as I recall.

Re: Case that holds Chip Racks?

Yes, I thought about the general purpose cases, but I'd like to be able to pop my 20x5 chip racks out of their bird cages and place them directly into a carry case without transferring them to chip boxes. Or using 20x5 racks w/ lids on them (won't fit into bird cages...).

Re: Case that holds Chip Racks?

I bought some of the cases from Palm Imports case blowout and found that the dividers could be removed in one piece turning a 600 chips case into an 800 chips case. I don't know if all cases are made this way but it's an idea for you.

Re: Case that holds Chip Racks?

Task force case can hold 800+ chips in stacked racks no problem and have room for cards and such. Just make sure you get the type with foam up top to hold the chips in.

This is really what I'm looking for. Have you transported your chips using this yet? Any problems with chips leaving the racks?

I carry them around often with no problems at all. The foam that comes in the case lid holds the chips very securely. In fact if your chip trays ar too high the lid is hard to close.

I also did this with one of my Palm cases and it works perfectly. No problems with chips leaving the racks at all, a great setup for the price.

Here is how I did my PI case:

600 chips fit nicely in the 500 capcity without the dividers.
