anyone know where i can get oak chip trays that are black?

looking for the 100 piece trays like those that are included in the oak 300 and 500 piece cases that are out on the market these days.

like this - only black

You could probably paint them yourself, if you were so inclined.

tried that with a set and they are a pain to sand the existing finish off and prep with all the crevises.

stain them. thats pretty quick and easy......and would look pretty good.

the finish is pretty good on them and will not take stain. I would use a scotch brite pad and scuff them and paint. I have not seen any in black.

A good primer will cover those racks, then paint black. Still a bit of work, but much better than sanding, and you may be able to spray.

Zinsser Bulls Eye primers are awesome -- stick to anything and let you paint over. There's an equivalent brand that's also good, but I forget the name. Most big box stores (Home Depot & Lowes) have both.
